Seathwaite Farm Camping Barn
Seathwaite Farm Camping Barn offers simple accommodation in a truly stunning rural location. There is a bunk on which to lay your sleeping bag/roll, a table with seating and a safe area for you to prepare food. A separate communal lounge area has a wood burning stove to gather around. There is also a bathroom with shower, toilet etc. as well as the toilet and shower block across the farmyard.
Camping barns were originally created to provided simple, dry shelter for walkers but are ideal for all sorts of getaways. Think of a camping barn a bit like camping but without the tent – we provide a roof, bed with mattress, plus a bathroom and you bring the rest!
Communal Areas
The lounge area consists of comfy seating whilst the wood burning stove creates a lovely, cosy atmosphere in the winter months.
The kitchen area offers an electric hob, simple appliances such as kettle and toaster, as well as space to prepare food and clean up afterwards. The large dining table will seat up to six.
The bunk room has well-spaced beds with sleeping room for 10 people.
The self-contained bathroom offers a shower, handbasin and toilet.

Please note: no bedding is provided apart from a mattress.
Eco Toilets
We have just commissioned our two new eco toilet blocks for this year - one in the main Camping Field and the other close to the Camping Barn. It maybe difficult to appreciate, but providing such conveniences (no pun intended) in such a remote location is quite challenging so we are very proud of our new additions.
These odourless toilets require no mains services of any description. With no water, no power, no smell, no freezing risk and no chemicals we think they make a great addition to our aim of being as eco-friendly as possible whilst doing our best to make things easier in such a beautiful location.
